Community Involvement
"You make a living by what you get; you make a life by what you give". ~Winston Churchill
Childhood Cancer Community
Childhood Cancer Community exists to provide meaningful connections for families affected by childhood cancer to promote positivity and purpose throughout their journeys. CCC serves over 200 families and believe that each family who is now, or has ever been, affected by childhood cancer should have a place to belong and heal from and in their experience.
Julie and Jim have been active and proud supporters for many years.
Baird Gives Back
Baird Gives Back Week is an event encouraging associates to team up in their communities and volunteer in a range of activities, including tutoring students, working with seniors, building homes and cleaning up parks.
Our team makes community involvement a priority. We believe the cornerstone of our business is being involved in the community and builds a culture of generosity and hard work. It is the cornerstone of our business.
Our team has volunteered a number of times with the local Channel One Regional Food Bank and Food Shelf. This year, our team packed over 2,000 pounds of carrots, helping stock the food shelf for weeks and giving to families in need.
Can Do Canines
Can Do Canines transforms lives by creating mutually beneficial partnerships with specially trained dogs. They breed, raise, train, and place six types of assistance dogs: Hearing Assist Dogs, Mobility Assist Dogs, Seizure Assist Dogs, Diabetes Assist Dogs, Autism Assist Dogs, and Facility Dogs. Can Do Canines provides all their assistance dogs free of charge; since their inception in 1989, they have provided more than 1,000 assistance dogs. Can Do Canines is the largest provider of assistance dogs in Minnesota and relies on individual contributions to support its important work. Julie and Jim are proud to support them and recently had a new assistance dog named after their beloved dog Archie.
